100% increase in demand at Foodbank.

The demand for emergency food at East Bristol Foodbank has increased by 100% since the beginning of the crisis. We are supporting two pop-up Foodbanks in Hillfields and Filwood, which have been opened in partnership with local churches who have responded to the increase in desperate need in their communities.
Food supplies are starting to run low and we are having to purchase some items. The team made 30 home deliveries last week and are increasing the number of home deliveries again this week, although they won’t be operating on Good Friday or Easter Monday.
If you are able to, PLEASE support your local Foodbank when you do your essential shopping, whatever part of Bristol you live in. Supermarkets are starting to return to normal in their supplies of stock, and all of Bristol’s Foodbanks are experiencing unprecedented demand from people needing emergency food supplies. You can find out what your local Foodbank needs here: https://www.givefood.org.uk/needs/
If you live in East Bristol, the list of needed items and collecting supermarkets can be found here: https://eastbristol.foodbank.org.uk/give-help/donate-food/.  If you cannot get to a supermarket to donate food, but would like to contribute financially, please use our emergency coronavirus JustGiving page https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/inhope-emergency-appeal.
