Candlelit Vigil 2020

This year, Val Thompson, Spring of Hope women’s shelter manager, has the privilege of sharing a reading at the Shelter Candlelit Vigil.

The Shelter Candlelit Vigil is a national annual event where people join together to reflect and remember those who have died whilst homeless. This year the event will be streamed live on YouTube at 7pm on Monday 14th December. Click here to go straight to the YouTube link.

As part of the vigil, we are encouraging people to light a candle and share a photo on their social media as an act of remembrance. An example message could be:

No one should die homeless. That’s why I will #ShineALight with @Shelter, @inHopeBristol and others to remember the lives lost in the past year.

This will be a special time to honour people who may have been cold, alone, and forgotten when they took their last breath.

Please share this with all of your friends, family, and contacts.
